Period Poverty: Making a Difference for the Next Generation

Period poverty remains a hidden barrier to girls’ education. Through partnerships such as the collaboration with Saalt, HER Africa has distributed menstrual cups and delivered menstrual health education to girls and women.

Menstrual Health Program

Visiting the all girls school to provide menstrual cups and education about menstrual health for our pilot program.

The results are clear: fewer missed school days, improved health, and greater confidence. Girls are better able to stay in school and participate fully in learning.

Addressing period poverty is not only a health issue - it is an education and equality issue, with long-term benefits for communities.
